Try Journaling as an Easy First Step into Caring for Your Mental Health and Wellness!
Journaling can be an easily accessible first step toward caring for your mental health and wellness! Research has shown that expressive writing can ease stress, improve mood, and support overall wellbeing. By putting thoughts and feelings on paper with words or images, you create a bridge between mind, body, and spirit, making space for reflection, release, and growth.
Here are a few prompts to help you get started:
- When did I last feel a sense of peace, and what helped me feel that way?
- What part of myself needs extra care and attention right now?
- Where do I feel most comfortable to be myself?
Any paper or notebook will work! However, if you find you need extra help or want something more dedicated to your journal practice, we have a couple of journals that we have created with some special features to help you along! We wanted to recommend journals that would be both inspiring and helpful for our clients, so we decided to design a couple of different options.
We created a beautiful matte finish soft-cover journal with 150 blank alternating lined and unlined pages to record your reflections and a hard-cover journal that is more focused on our therapy clients as it includes dedicated space for therapy session notes, mood and habit trackers, 30-day challenge trackers, and journal prompts for every occasion to help you work through your life experiences in a meaningful and expressive way.
