Ketamine for Mind, Body, and Spirit
At The Lotus Center, we believe that healing happens when mind, body, and spirit are nurtured together. For some people, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) can be a powerful way to do just that. Not only can KAP help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety; it can also provide deep understanding of one’s personal experiences and one’s self, changing participants outlook completely and at times creating a very spiritual experience. In addition, ketamine dissipates feelings of anxiety, which allows the body to relax completely into a state of comfort and contentment.
Ketamine Retreats are a Powerful Way to Connect to Community and Belonging
While ketamine therapy can be done in one-on-one sessions, many clients find that participating in a small, intimate group setting adds another layer of healing. Sharing the experience with others fosters a sense of connection, reduces feelings of isolation, and creates a supportive community where participants feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow.
Group retreats also allow participants to witness one another’s journeys, which often leads to powerful moments of resonance and shared insight. This combination of individual inner work and gentle group connection can make the retreat experience deeply meaningful and memorable.
If you’ve been curious about ketamine therapy — or maybe you’ve heard of ketamine retreats but aren’t sure what they’re like, this post is for you.
Why Consider a Ketamine Retreat?

- Persistent anxiety or depression
- Stress or burnout
- Life transitions or feeling stuck in your current situation
- A desire for personal insight, creativity, or spiritual growth
What to Expect During Our Ketamine Retreats
At The Lotus Center, our retreats are intentionally designed to feel supportive, restorative, and even a little magical — all without leaving Salt Lake City. Here’s what you can expect:
You’ll Be Guided Through Intentional Preparation for Clarity and Confidence
Before your session, you’ll meet with our team and the group to discuss your intentions, goals, and questions. This preparation helps you enter the experience with clarity and confidence.
You’ll Relax in a Safe and Comfortable Setting
Our retreat space is warm, calming, and thoughtfully prepared with:
-
- Low lighting and soft textures create a cozy atmosphere
- A carefully curated music playlist guides your inner journey
- Blankets, eye masks, and comfortable seating help you fully relax
You’ll Be Guided by Experienced and Supportive Facilitators
Our retreats are led by our clinical chaplain and a licensed therapist. Together, they create a container that is both safe and spiritually attuned, offering guided meditation to ease you into a state of calm.
You’ll Be Supported During Your Journey To Explore Your Inner Landscape
During the ketamine session, participants are supported and monitored by our care team, including an APRN for medical care. We will take care of you, so you can focus on exploring your inner landscape, releasing tension, and inviting insight.
You’ll Be Welcomed Into a Gentle Yet Powerful Group Integration
After the medicine session, there is a light group sharing circle for those who wish to speak about their experience. Participants return for a full integration group after the retreat to process their journey. This session includes guided reflection and the use of our beautiful art-based integration card deck to help bring insights into daily life.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ketamine Retreats
Do I have to share in the group?
Not at all. Sharing after a ketamine session is completely optional. Many participants find listening to others meaningful even if they don’t speak. Our facilitators create a safe space where you can choose how much to engage.
What if I prefer an individual session?
That’s always an option. We offer individual KAP sessions for clients who prefer a one-on-one setting. Our team can help you decide which format best meets your needs.
Is ketamine therapy safe?
Yes. When administered in a clinical setting and guided by trained professionals, ketamine therapy is considered safe for most people. At The Lotus Center, your session is supervised by both a licensed therapist and our clinical chaplain, with medical oversight when needed.
How should I prepare?
We offer a preparation session before your retreat to discuss intentions, answer questions, and help you feel grounded and ready for the experience.
Will I get follow-up support?
Yes. Integration is key to getting the most from your session. After your retreat, you’ll be invited to join a dedicated integration group where you can process your experience, receive guided reflection, and work with our art-based integration cards.
