Full Time Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant (MA) will serve important clinical and administrative duties in an integrative outpatient mental health and wellness clinic. The role of the MA is to provide outstanding support to the healthcare providers, while providing exceptional care to patients within the scope of an MA.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist support staff in greeting clients as they arrive for their appointment, check them in, collect copayment.

  • Take vital signs and document in EMR system.

  • Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in an EMR system.

  • Assist the front desk support staff in answering incoming phone calls, accepting and sending faxes, scheduling clients with providers, and calling to obtain authorizations when needed.

  • Assist Nurse Practitioners’ with providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatments (training will be provided).

  • Assist Nurse Practitioners’ with hormone pellet placements (training will be provided).

  • Administer intramuscular injections to clients.

  • Start IV and administer IV infusions as prescribed by the NP.

  • Set-up room and/or equipment, and stock with up to date required supplies for patient care.

  • Interacts professionally with patient/family.

  • Always maintains HIPAA confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Full or Part Time Nurse Practitioner

The Lotus Center for Healing and Wellness is hiring a part time or full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for outpatient medication management to join our interdisciplinary team. The APRN must be board certified and licensed to practice in the state of Utah with prescription privileges. The APRN hired will provide mental health services in an outpatient clinical practice setting.

They will demonstrate psychiatric advanced practice nursing skills in health promotion, diagnosis and treatment; provide and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies; and use the process of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation to provide evidenced-based care to address the psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients. If the APRN would like to provide individual or group therapy to their patients they may.

The APRN will perform a comprehensive health history, review of systems, and psychiatric mental health examination, concluding with diagnosis and treatment, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests, medication management and follow up.

Full Time Therapist

This is a position that requires 35 clinical hours per week,  supporting patients of The Lotus Center with individual and group therapy in compliance with best practices of Medicaid requirements, and therapeutic processes approved by state and federal guidelines including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care and other strengths-based approaches.

This position requires a working knowledge of integrative medicine and will include clinical duties such as assessment, treatment planning, treatment review, crisis management, transition planning, and whole health support. This clinician will work primarily day and early evening hours.

Qualified candidates must have a current Utah license as CSW, ACMHC, LCSW, MFT, or LCMHC and must not be employed, interning, or volunteering at another agency that would be a conflict of interest with The Lotus Center.  We are committed to supporting health and wellness and we maintain a non-smoking worksite.
